GR10K
This attentive label manages to infiltrate and disrupt the accelerated cycle of fashion production and consumption by recycling surplus non-fashion production from the archives of an undisclosed Italian factory, while drawing on the company's considerable expertise in technical fabrics and utilitarian details to produce assemblages consisting of rugged unisex shirts, outerwear made from recycled materials, and cargo trousers. By consciously applying the almost reductive design constraints inherent in uniform purchasing, GR10K easily achieves its stated intention to move beyond the entrenchment of minimalism as an aesthetic tool of institutional tailoring.
